Hi
That is a big loaded question... Have you had your ultrasound now then ?
This is a rough guide, don't go getting bogged down with info on treatments you may not need. Any treatment is tailored to you meaning most have slightly differing therapies - better waiting until you have been given a treatment plan.
Depends on what any biopsy tissue results come back as really. The main treatment is surgery; sometimes chemo isn't needed but if it is this can be after surgery or before. Most have a period of radiotherapy sessions and there are other courses of meds taken depending on which type of BC is found.
Surgery - Usually a short hospital stay 1-2 days but no driving for 2-3 weeks afterwards. Recovery times can vary a lot; depends on if everything is straightforward or post surgery complications like seroma, nodes taken etc
Chemo 'if needed' - Some find they can work part time during chemo treatment, others find it tougher going and try to work around it.
Radiotherapy - Daily travelling to the unit for usually 15 days Mon to Fri can be stressy and tiring but if it is local most find they can work around their 30 to 90 minute appt's depending on how busy the unit is.
Take care, G n' J
