How did going through chemo affect people, is it as bad as you imagine.
gina62 I am very glad you have found this forum. I had neo chemo to shrink my (hefty) lump, I was petrified. Was it easy, no, was it as bad as I imagined, not at all. Once you get in to a routine you will feel so much better. I learnt to think of chemo as my superhero.
You will get through chemo & pop out at other end, brave & strong!

Hi gina62
My story is on profile feel free to read . Your question is so hard to answer as we are all so different in how we react to chemo .
I finished 6 cycles of EC just 6 weeks ago . I think the one thing I can say is our imagination makes everything a lot worse . The waiting is hard but once you start the treatment you actually feel better that it has started and the waiting is over
When you get your plan you will be told all possible Side effects this does not mean you will experience them all ( that would be greedy ) .
I found that I could manage my SE that doesn't mean I felt great all of the time ., but if I felt like then that meant chemo doing its job .Most chemo have a pattern to SE so keep a diary then you can plan .
Have a look at chemo thread there is a link on front page with hints for coping .
Take care
