Bone scan

Have you had a bone scan before? I had one following my mastectomy. The process is very simple, injection with radioactive’dye’, wait awhile....then a scan which does take a little time...There was a bit of chill out music in the background so I just lay there....

Results took a week or so....

Yeah I had one.

It is fairly straightforward, much better than a ct or mri scan.

Oh, this is timely for me. I have my first bone scan tomorrow. 

It was a standard scheduled outpatient appointment,  & I meant to find out about it nearer the time. Thought I had plenty of time to get around to it. 

Now here I am, still an inpatient & it's tomorrow.  Lucky it's the same hospital!
