Hi I am on weekly paclitaxeland what I am doing I am drinking loads of lemon and honey tea drinks and eat loads of fruits.Vitamins are important for immunity. When I go to the hospital I am always taking with me antibacterial hand wipes most of the germs are on the doorhandles or in toilett. Outside I am wearing surgical mask to protect myself from coughing and sneezing people or using scarf to cover my face.I don't care about the looks it's my health.

Maybe it's too much but I am fine so far.Oh forgot never forget wash your hands when you come from outside.

I have this germ freak personality from work because I am working in a healthcare:)

    I hope it helped

Whittie...sorry you find yourself here ……..but pleased to see you have found this site

As you know , viruses live on hard surfaces and you might be reinfecting yourself. I wipe door handles, computer keyboards, light switches etc etc daily , you can think of lots of other places . Wash your hands a lot , but remember , if you turn on taps with virus on your hands , then turning the taps off afterwards might re load your r hands .

Keep your hands away from your face , eat lots of things containing vit c. drink lots , keep away from toddlers " superspreaders " ( if possible !? ) exercise outside in fresh air if possible....

good luck and best wishes  xx

  • Hi all. I have had a virus for 2weeks horrible cough aching joints and cold.My Grandaughtergotmarried on the 20th December it was a lovely wedding, my youngest grandson aged 6 was quite ill with the awful cough and cold but did not want to miss the wedding, he was very good we left at 11.Oclock and put him to bed. The next day I started with a tickle at the back of my throat next day full blown virus, I am getting a bit better now, just wondered if our immune systems are down after having Radiotheraphy.

  • Hi, apparently there’s a product called ‘Nasal Guard’ which you might try?
but yes, washing hands frequently, and especially before you touch your face/after touching things like door handles and light pulls/switches ,can help!

Thanks a lot everyone for the advice, I did wonder whether I was re-infecting myself. Sounds like I need to become a lot more diligent and clean a lot more too! Will have a look for the dettol spray and the nasal guard
