Hi everyone.
Has anyone had areola tattooing done? If you had it done on the NHS how did you feel once the nipple faded? I'm trying to establish the best option.
Thanks in advance!
HI
Just bumping up your post in case someone who can help has missed it on the second page. Sorry I can't help.
Best wishes,

Hi
yes I had an NHS tattoo - January to April 19 think about 3 treatments - very effective to begin with but really has faded - like a peachy circle with darker dot in middle . I know I can go back anytime for more top ups but don’t really want to go to hospital unless I really really need to . I have seen a lady tattooist in my town who is willing to give me a permanent tattoo - I think NHS use vegetable dye .
I go to aqua aerobics twice a week that may have faded mine quicker .,
always worth trying the NHS though .
they give you gel painkiller , just incase some nerves still active .,
best wishes

Hi there just to let u know that I have had 2 nhs nipple/areola tattooing at the hospital over the last 4 years and they were ok but they do fade and therefore you need them topping up.
I have recently in September had a permanent one done and I am very pleased and the tattooist shop specialises in ladies that have had breast cancer and want the final step added to their new breast. They were lovely ladies and I would highly recommend them.
Hi

i have had a nipple tattoo at the moment mine is fine but I have been warned it will fade and will need topping up. Could you tell me how you found a good tattooist to do a permanent one as may need to do it in the future. I wouldn’t know where to start - apart from quiz lovely ladies on here. May I ask where your’s is based?? xxxx
Hi Mooresleep
I did lots of googling and researched permanent nipple tattooing for a very long time. I ended up travelling to Luton to get it done who as I said were lovely and they have ladies travelling to them from all over the country. They do free consultations and are very professional x
Thanks to you both - very much appreciated. Sounds like a permanent tattoo is the way to go eventually. Xxx
