Tamoxifen & its side effects

I'm struggling with the side effects of Tamoxifen. Prior to having had breast cancer, I already suffered with mental health issues which include depression, anxiety & panic attacks; the medication for my mental health issues cause extreme tiredness but since taking Tamoxifen as well, I find myself becoming immensely tired just by doing normal household tasks; needing to sleep & rest more and also feeling extremely low, very tearful and my anxiety has worsened. Any one else had similar experience?

I have been on tamoxifen just over a week and am starting radiotherapy Thursday. I know we have to read about side effects but as I have issues with health anxiety sometimes I can develop physical symptoms far too easily.

So far I have not felt more tired than usual and my mood has not been affected. I do get light headed from time to time but I understand that is quite common. I am an old bat of 75 ( was given option of tamoxifen or anastrozole but didn't want issues with osteoporosis as I have no sense of balance!! and have painful knees anyway so wanted to minimise joint pain too!)

Most side effects such as tiredness settle down after a while. Others on here have said different brands of tamoxifen suit them better than others ( different for each person)..

The fact that you have been through this diagnosis etc could be enough to upset your delicate mental health balance. Is there anyone from your mental health team you can talk with? I do understand how stretched they are sometimes, but sounds like you could do with some face to face support.
