Hi all,

Well what a day. My sons friend stayed the night and  woke up with spots. I contacted his mum as was concerned as it looked like chicken pox and my third FEC was due today. The doctor confirmed chicken pox so I contacted the hospital. After the nurses contacting different departments I was Told I need to have bloods tomorrow to check my immunity and if all ok can have treatment next Tuesday however if results show I am not immune I will have to wait 3 weeks before my treatment. Good in one way as I can enjoy Friday with my daughter watching diversity but not so good for parties in December and February as just booked Mamma Mia the party in London. Disappointed as well as want to keep on track as fear of the cancer spreading.

Had my little moan, now it's time to return to positivity. Hope everyone is ok and battling through.

  • Hi

I know how you feel. I have just had my chemo put back 3 weeks as I have got to have a wisdom tooth removed. Very mixed feelings as it's been delayed already by 3 weeks and whilst I want to get all the dental stuff sorted before I start my chemo I am worried about the cancer spreading.

I hope you haven't got the dreaded chicken pox virus and can keep on target.

    Good luck. Xxxx

  • Sorry to hear this , hope you are feeling ok and things are back on track very soon. Hugs T x

    Hi all,

Sorry not been here, but i have an update. Chemo can resume tomorrow as I am immune from chicken pox. Hooray, however, my son also broke out in spots which looked suspicious and the doctor is not convinced as some look like chicken pox but others don't so I will see what happens tomorrow. Hope you are all managing with the treatment and side effects.

Also a welcome to those new to the site, I am sure you will find the support on here as I have.

Thank you. I have not long returned from the hospital after a very long wait due to them having to do bloods. Thankfully I have just had my 3rd FEC, one more to go and then a different regime so hoping no side effects. Had fun though with the staff as ended up the only one there and it got very noisy, taking photos of me with a card board cut out if Elvis lol.

Hope you and everyone are also coping.
