Sheffield

Hi ya, I’m north of Manchester but I don’t mind driving down but I’m not good in city centres! Only know where ponds forge is thanks to boys swimming there!

Hi peterawake ... I’m on the east coast and could make it to Sheffield. I know there is the meet up in Birmingham but was hoping there might be a northern one sometime...was thinking Sheffield, even Leeds, York, Manchester. I think there are a few of us ‘northerners’ on here.

Thank you for replying to my post.  We should set a date and location and get together. We could meet in Meadowhall Shopping Centre, plenty of Coffee Bars there?

Thanks for the reply, am on the exact opposite side of the river       wary of giving out more detail as this site is public and we ladies have to be extra cautious to stay safe!     Can pop over on the ferry for a meet up in N. Shields, or even Sunderland there are some canny coffee and cake places,  if anyone else is interested.  I don't drive and have mobility problems so a meet up in this part of the region would be great and could manage that.   Wishing you a good day ahead and everyone else.  

.. you are so right about safety especially as this is a public site and when chatting we probably forget. As we have seen lately unscrupulous people log onto the online community and try and befriend us for their own purpose. If anyone is planning to meet up its always best to meet in a public place, safety in numbers, and let someone know where you are going and who you are meeting up with.. I’m sure there is more advice about such things on site. I have met up with some bc ladies after communicating for a year and it was really good to finally meet face to face.  Perhaps you should start a thread for a meet up in your area xx
