Referral Wait....................

Hi

It you were referred as urgent it should be within 2 weeks but as you were referred on a Friday it probably didn't get 'booked in' until Monday.

Also if any letter was sent 2nd class it should be due today or tomorrow - As Ruthie mentions do ring your GP or your local breast unit (if you know which one) to ask if they have your appointment information as yet.

My GP referred me on a Monday and explained that the hospital would phone by the following morning to give me a date and sure enough, first thing Tues morning I got a call with an appointment for the Monday 2 weeks to the day of GP's referral.

Like others have said, perhaps a call tomorrow would help.  I live in Herefordshire and I do know everywhere is different, such a shame that treatment isn't uniform across the country.

Fingers crossed you get it sorted quickly, the waiting is always the worst bit.

My gp referred me on a Friday and gave me a leaflet for  the referral centre....told me to leave it a week and phone them if I hadn't heard anything.....my appointment came in a week later for the following Tuesday.
