Chemotherapy

Hiya,

You sound really positive - the way to go! I had chemo 2 years ago, it was completely do-able. It is probably docetaxel that you go onto next. I found this slightly harder than fec, it is really weird, makes you feel that you are aching all over - like a bad case of the flu. Glad you are feeling loved!

Definitely take each day one day at a time. It will go quite quickly once you start. Keep posting, there are people on here to support.

Docetaxol is the nasty one which usually follows FEC, but if it really knocks you sideways, tell your oncologist and they can reduce the dose and give you extra steroids. Best of luck!

Sall... ..have you found the August chemo thread. There are several others who had their first chemo on Weds/ Thurs and you will be able to help each other.

I hope today goes ok for you but however awful it might become, it's  still a day nearer the end of treatment and to full recovery.
