Hi iam just about to start letrozole does any one no side affects please and if your on them how are you getting on . I will be starting radiotherapy soon thanxs
Hi
When you get your tablets there will be a leaflet inside with a list of the side effects. Hot flushes and joint pain seem common and bone thinning xxx
Hi
If you type Letrozole in the search bar, you'll find loads of posts from ladies about the side effects from the oestrogen reducing tablets. Tamoxifen (often for pre menopause) and then either letrozole or anastrozole for post menopause.
Here's one thread recently which you may want to read as it reiterates that we are all so different. Some get all the side effects and some none at all! but the important thing is to try them and see how they affect you and then just test out different brands and see which has the least issues.
Good luck with radiotherapy. There is a radiotherapy thread each month as well, so you can pop in this and chat to others going through it all at the same time as you.
Best wishes,
Hi there, I have been on letrozole since November last year, I have had awful side effects but everyone is different it's the joint pain that seems to effect me, gp is contacting oncologist to see if I can try tamoxifen, hopefully that will suit me better but I'm still here and still smiling so very grateful xxx
