had my oncology appointment yesterday.....

was nervous even tho I know what’s happening and that I need to have chemotherapy

Anyway pre-assessment booked for Tuesday 23rd July

1st chemo session booked for 31st July...... bit apprehensive about how it’s going to go and how I’m going to feel but I’m ready for this fight to start now!

Daughters hen party this weekend to look forward to then she’s given me the task of making things for the wedding reception to give me something to do while I’m at home once treatment starts! Wedding not till October so I’ve got plenty of time lol.... (hen party bought forward so I can be there before I feel like crap on treatment)

So watch this space and I’ll let you know how my 1st session goes! Thermometer at the ready!

Sall xx

Hiya I love how positive you sound, it was a year last Tuesday since i was going through the same as you. The positivity definitely helps, i had some poopy days but mostly felt positive.

You have lots going on, glad your getting to go on your daughters hen do, hope you have a fantastic time and it takes your mind off things for a few days.

What chemo will you be having? its natural to be apprehensive but i will say that once you have had your first treatment you will think, was that it?? Have you had a look at the July breast cancer chemotherapy chat group. I found this helped massively. Talking to people going through the same as me or who had been through the same and could offer advice and support. I found it helped talking to people who understood.

Have a amazing weekend look forward to hearing all about it lol
