Hi everyone. I had first chemo on Tuesday, major pain in tumour and lymph at night especially. Rang BCN today & was passed to Dr who advised this is a VERY good sign, I cried, again, she said good tears today.
Only recommendation was paracetamol or bufren, they are just not cutting it. Does anyone know if safe to take codine or even paramol?
I am climbing walls, temp is ok, do I just need to ride out ️
Hi daisyjake,
BN’s are fab and I know they have a great deal of knowledge however I would ring the chemo team, you should have a dedicated helpline number available day and night while your on chemo, I would be inclined to ring and talk to them about pain relief.
Hope your pain subsides,
Gentle hugs x
I had sharp stabbing pains during first rounds of EC. Midway MRI showed complete response. I think those pains were the tumour being attacked and destroyed. I hope it is the same for you. Chemo was very tough for me, but it worked. Good luck. You can get through it. xx
Thank you Sandy; this gives me so much hope xx
