I've been on tamoxifen for 10 weeks and experiencing flushes sweats and chills. The chills include a weird 'creeping' feeling like goosebumps has anyone else had this? Can anyone recommend/suggest any natural remedies for these side effects. They are quite severe and disturb my sleep quite badly. I will of course do my own research but would be interested to know what works for others experiencing similar side effects.
Yes I definitely get that sensation too feels rather ghostly doesn't it! Usually starts in ankles and creeps up my legs. Hands also freezing.
I am on letrozole but get very similar feeling - a bit like goosebumps but not...sort of comes in a wave. I notice more at night but it definitely happens during the day too. It’s not painful just weird...mentioned it to oncologist....and he didn’t say anything!
Hello Galligirl and Ihama. Just seen this post topic and thought would like to join in. The same is happening to me, am on Exemestane though, happens sometimes in the day sometimes night, goes away for a while and then comes back. We've had some welcome nice weather lately but yours truly goes from summer wear light cotton wrap skirt and loose top ..... anyway .... then the goosebumps start, feet go icy cold, so dive under the duvet with a fleece on top, sometimes 2. Meanwhile outside the temp is rising to mid 20's and I'm wrapped up like it's winter lol Just another thing to add to the list of SE's on our long journey to hopefully full recovery in the future. I find a cup of fresh brewed apricot leaf tea left to stand for a short while is nice and soothing. Best wishes.
Hi all - I’m on tamoxifen and had the same creeping cold feeling. However, on reading this post, I realised I’ve not had it for months. I’ve been on tamoxifen for a year now. So you might find it settles down. Sometimes you don’t notice that certain SE have stopped.
L xx
