But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I’ve also done a huge amount of reorganising, moved lots of books around, got rid of some, moved the record deck and hifi to where they used to be, used the small unit hubs built for them to take other stuff in a different place. Oh my, what a game with all those wires. I need to take it to a hifi expert, need a new deck anyway, it’s belt driven and the newer ones were just coming out when we bought it and weren’t yet reliable…..there’s a CD stuck in the CD dock too.
Im off to bed to sleep the sleep of the totally shattered!

A few odd jobs today, too, some slight spots of repainting in the bathroom needed, some rubbing down first …..then the fallen leaves in the garden swept up and bagged ready to form leaf mould as a mulch. The soil is heavy clay so anything to help lighten is a good idea and so that will be welcome in a year or so when broken down.
A coffee to rest….

Hi all
happy new year!
Although we had 20 for Christmas dinner I did nothing! I was weary with the cough! Ugh! Then I had ZA infusion … wearyiness added to.
THEN daughter broke ankle bones ice skating and dislocated it too. So grandchildren came to us and stayed over. Next day our son and grandson came to stay, a house ful! Tucked a grandson in the dining area, made a den for him!
today I feel more like myself, cough is almost gone and am sitting with daughter who is much brighter too. She has op on Thursday….possibly….we fly to Cyprus then for 10 days. Not been there before, hubbie wanted some warmth …
Looking forward to walks and then helping out for daughter when back home. She’ll have plates and screws and wires. She’ll be the patient in theatre instead of being an anaesthetic nurse!!!
Boxing Day walk with family- daughter with her 2 kids
