But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Flossie25 I’m re-reading Bill Bryson’s Road to Little Dribbling’ which has, like ‘Notes from a Small Island’ had me giggling out loud quite frequently.
Just now shut all the windows as outside is a bit hotter than in….
Sons dog (Grandpup Stanley) has been a bit poorly, vomiting a good few times; he’s elderly now so a bit of concern. They kept him starved for a few hours though gave him plenty of water, he refused some food yesterday evening but has apparently enjoyed some breakfast today. He’s still cheerful and ‘waggy’ so I hope it was just a blip.

I’ve not read bill bryson moomy. Good Stanley has perked up. I’ve been sitting out, in the shade, reading . The breeze is lovely ... I’ve come in to warm up
Mag123 are you having a lot of issues with Letrozole? I started off managing very well with it but length of time on it, and age, has gone against me. I do hobble more first thing on a morning and I sit too much. I know from the nuclear bone scan I had last year that I have lots of degenerative areas, my left foot being the worst at present. I also have a “nodule” on my Achilles ( other foot) but don’t know if that’s Letrozole related. I have a misshapen middle finger, swollen joints and wonder if that was accelerated by Letrozole. Hey ho I persevere as I doubt I would find any improver ent coming off it. I have osteopenia but that was probably there before starting the Letrozole. Dont forget to have your regular dexa scans when on Letrozole. Keep on with weight bearing exercises if you can ... ♀️
♀️If very problematic ask for a change of drug.

He’s a really good author, Flossie25, especially his travel books.
Watching the Proms on BBC4 (needless to say it’s a recorded concert) and the performance of Elgar cello concerto was excellent, second movement so full of longing it got me going. Now Sibelius 2nd Symphony (and a Finnish conductor too)
