But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

That’s thoughtful, PenelopeJ57, thank you!
I slept ok once off, apart from waking for the loo around 4 and getting a hot flush that took a while to ease (hubs’ well washed hankies are a soft wipe for the sweaty face and neck!) but then slept till after 8.

Even if I do write a bit less in the coming months, I'm sure I will follow your thread. However, if you would like to stay in touch and even make that visit to practice what you're learning, please contact me and I'll give you my e mail which will always find me......
The landing light switch off happened again this evening, I had found a spot of rot on an outside wooden door and must deal with it, had been wondering where the two part rot-kill and filler are. I guess he was trying to tell me!
Will have a look in the garage.

I just said out loud that I might be able to do that work on the rot in the next day or so, but it might wait till after Christmas….. the long duster fell to the floor! I’m more and more certain hubs is giving me signs! Not sure if that’s a ‘get on with it’ one or not though!

Sadly I’ve had to dig quite a lot of wet rot out of the door, painted on the liquid rot treatment and filled two hours later with the 2-part filler hardener as best I can, now to leave it to set and then sand and paint tomorrow, even if all I manage is an undercoat at least it will be protected. However I think I may well need to get someone in to supply and fit and finish 3 new exterior style doors instead, fairly soon. We couldn’t afford them at the time this job was first done, and hubs was still well enough to fit them and paint them at the time. They’ve been painted since but they aren’t hardwood.
