But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Today poor hubs feels shattered, got up early to drive the van (motorhome) to get advice; it’s still only done 1,000 miles and engine management light was on! It’s as we suspected, it’s not been used much (!?!?!?!?!) so we need to drive BOTH vehicles every week or so.
tomorrow he’s got to do the same as the Landys headlights have packed up (most likely a simple fix, they’ve done it once before) and then she has a service and MOT booked later this month. That’s to a local village where they have been looking after it since 2005, real experts.
Im feeling easier in my mind now that I know kidney cancer really can be dealt with and have talked to the specialist nurse; think I’ve been forgiven!)
I’ve cleaned the house and am on the third pile of laundry!

Good you've got info on board moomy and fingers crossed for MDT meeting Monday. I'd be happy having AZ vaccine too. A neighbour kindly helped me with my car (Yes still the old one) as the battery was flat when I tried it last week. I had the jump leads and he had the full battery in his car. I've since driven it every other day just to keep it topped up. It'll be colder this weekend so will drive round the village daily then. OH is back next week, as long as his Covid test is negative, so there's just his car to sort out then !!

Car batteries are a pain, aren’t they? We had a new one in the Landy as we worked out that the old one had been the original (2004) and after a long lay up they just fail. So we will try to use both vehicles, the van of course has mains hook up plugged in now, which keeps both batteries topped up!
what lockdown is doing to us all, eh?

Still swapping Loratidine for Piriton to help make me sleepy. It’s helping so far....I really hope we get a plan of action soon, waiting really is the pits especially when it’s your nearest and dearest that you have to keep away from! We are wearing masks/shields etc and windows are open especially upstairs. I throw doors open downstairs every morning just to blow the rooms through, and open back kitchen door quite a bit through the day too. 10 days post discharge for him ends next Monday. Until then I take our temp and O2 sats every morning, all are fine so far, but you just never know......

Hubs is home; there’s a faulty switch in headlights, so no driving till next week when Landy goes for service, a new door handle, a light switch and MOT!
He’s now dozing in the armchair with his shield on! It was an early morning for him today and he’s not good with them now, used to have no problems!
Daughter just FaceTimed, her van is struggling a bit battery-wise too, van battery is ok but leisure is low, so her next appointment at Oxford she will use that. Her venesection seem about a month apart each time which is a bind, means it will take a year or two for her to get back to normal ferritin levels! Their dog is unsettled, neighbour is having building work done (removal of fireplaces and chimneys) (Victorian terraced in Henley) so it’s noisy during the day, he’s then unsettled at night, bless him, probably wondering where the next noise will be coming from.

Sadly her housemate has a lot of meetings on line so a radio for the dog in a small house isn’t an option. They worry about him being unsettled through the night. It even stops daughter working in her garden studio as builders have the radio on loudly in the garden. They’ve spoken to the owners (who have conveniently moved out into a friends house!) but I did suggest that daughter contact environmental health as it’s disrupting 2 full time jobs. She’s got recording gear and can therefore give EH a good idea of the noise levels involved. They are apparently doing it brick by brick so it’s a longer job than it would be otherwise, it’s taking down chimneys and fireplaces just to squeeze in a few more inches of room.
Hugs xxx (and I got the warning!)
