But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Oh yes moomy - non-wired is a must. I think it was more like support pants for your boobs, sports bra type thingy. Dont do anything that makes your night any less comfortable and that might do your new breast more damage eeeek! Perhaps see what happens tonight with your normal routine, then check in again with your BCN

Sorry to interrupt,moomy...and I do hooe you get help from your bc,tomorrow, and have a better night tonight ....since this is your thread I was hoping you wont mind a quick little diversion?
I have been editing my photos tonight, and have come up with another quiz question....Any sewers out there?well at the embroidery show was this statue of a specific stitch (rather beautiful really)...anyone know what it is called ??
That’s beautiful, Violetsniff! Is it a type of knot stitch? And what is it made of????
I’ve come to the conclusion I might have to take a bus into town to M&S again for a comfy type of sports bra that’s got a bit more cup and therefore support than the crop tops I’ve been using so far at night!

Great photo Violetsniff Used to do a bit of embroidery/tapestry, and in response to some lovely creations on the craft thread have dug out a couple of half done pieces that I am ashamed to say are probably over 20 years old. Thinking of starting them again, especially when I have my next surgery and will be off work for much longer.
No idea on the stitch though. xxx
@moomy do check with the BCN - they may have advice what type is best for your sort of implant and may recommend where to get them from (prices can vary considerably).
PS - I bought some of the M&S 2 pack crop tops you recommended. Love em, they are so comfy. My friend did too.
Hi Eddiboy, they haven’t recommended anything really, just that I get help from the bra fitters in M&S.
I think I’d be ok knowing what I do now, about getting what should work, I need something in between the formal ‘support’ type bra which is ok for day time, and the comfy crop for night, something with just a bit better cup shaping but comfy around the back.

Hi Violetsniff, I got measured last time I bought bras, and I was already in the right size, phew!
Hmmm, a specific country of knot stitch. Spanish? For Spanish blackwork?
