But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Husband has wheels! His power assist drive wheels on his wheelchair failed last February and we got them in to a company in Northampton-who deal with the company who import them (Who haven’t got that good a name!) and they eventually (after a good many phone calls from the Northampton dealer who has been truly amazing) have sent a pair of refurbished wheels. We’ve put them on and hubs’ face changed straight away! And the Northampton chap will now negotiate a price for them!
So the old standard self propel wheels are back in the shed! We bought a better wheelchair cushion while there too.

After lunch we ventured out to Costco! It was very well managed but still around 1/3 of folk weren’t wearing masks and they were also getting too close, so got a glare!
stocked up well though, and hubs enjoyed feeling totally independent again!

And i did! A spray of yellow roses! And a Happy Anniversary pin and also some mixed grain bread flour which I’m very pleased with!
so that was just over 2 miles walked (and I discovered I’m out of practise!) then when I got home there was another washing load to do, and hubs had assembled the chain saw so we spent this afternoon sawing up logs, then of course all the mess had to be cleared up! Oh boy I’m shattered!

moomy ... thought I’d better catch up. See you’ve had vertigo again but are improving. I hope the family are doing ok. I did listen to your virtual choir ... lovely. Have you been out in your van? I’m not so bad ... have had a week or two of reducing energy... just creeps up. Might be thyroxine related although I’m sure the good old Letrozole might have a look in too. Hands and feet a bit troublesome at the mo. This month I’ve been back on Accord brand after 6 months of another ... might be a factor. Anyway ... need to plug in my PMA and get back up to speed... I’ve still got a lot of painting to do ( newly plastered ceiling and walls).

Hi Flossie25,
good to hear from you, though sorry you’ve got the Letrozole aches. Sounds like you’ve got some activity ahead, decorating ceilings and walls?!
Yes the vertigo was pretty scary and bad. But I’ve only had it a few times in my life, it’s Karen (Lacomtekp) who gets it more often.
Glad you liked the virtual choir, I have thought about joining others but know Eric Whitacre has quite a reputation for them and his choral writing is lovely anyway. Daughter made me aware of his writing as she has arranged one to play herself, and is tickled pink that I joined this latest one.
Yes we’ve been out a few times in the van but not yet stayed over, but have equipped it in case we do, just a couple of things we haven't packed, my inhaler and hubs’ insulin which we can’t really put in there as ‘stock’ items as they shouldn’t be exposed to temperature swings! So they need taking in case we stop out any time. Hubs has power wheels again at last (long story, they are refurbished ones and seem very good, as yet we don’t know a price but the local chap says the company have been so bad at contacting him, he thinks they might even forget, so ‘go off and if/when you hear from me then we can make any decisions‘ !) and is very pleased, he’s really missed them and the freedom they give him.
