But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

A bit of gardening already, the loganberries have virtually finished so the fruiting growth has to be cut back for next years growth to take over, I started that last evening and continuing today. Also the spare peas which grew and got stuck in a pot have finished and been cut back too.
i put up the garden umbrella to make some shade today as it already feels hot.
stay safe, all

We made a couple of wishes each this dinner time as we had the first leaves of chard, plus the first few runner beans, yummy! (Always have a wish the first crop of the season!)
I carried on slowly gardening and watered too as it was pretty warm and dry. Iced tea (earl grey, black and quite weak) later on

Don’t know about anyone else, but it’s cloudy and breezy here but still sooooo humid!
Did some yoga out in the garden and picked some fruit, there are very few loganberries or blueberries left but still quite a number of blackberries ripening. It has to be the sunny and warm May that brought the fruit on so early in the year!
Washing just about done ready to put out.....

My second load of washing is now out and blowing around well, but my phone informs me that we are at 62% humidity already so I only hope the washing dries!
got a confusing letter to tell me that an orthopaedic referral is now in the pipeline! I hope my friend still works for the hand surgeon who did my trapeziumectomy and will help ensure he takes me on again!

It rained in the night (8.8mm says the weather station) and feels humid still this morning though quite a lot cooler. Today’s plans, make a lasagne, bake a cake and start the almond paste icing on the rich fruit cake I made for our anniversary (it’s been well laced/‘fed’ with brandy!)

Eric Whitacre’s Virtual Choir 6, ‘Sing Gently’ gets its premiere on You Tube this evening at 6.30! I’ve heard snippets as there was some played in the background of a news item and it sounded amazing! I just welled up! Can’t believe I’m one of over 17,000 singers on there!
not sure if this link will work https://youtu.be/InULYfJHKI0
