But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Northerner, I hunted the first aid cabinet just in case we still have a stray bit of that spray as hand heals but I think we are out, might get some if we are near a chemist, it’s useful to have in the house anyway.
Hand is coping with the plasters that are roughly the same colour as my skin and I don’t think folk noticed at the museum today. Plus I’ve got some stretch netting that I cut a thumb hole in so the palm plasters stay on overnight.
Ye gods, I need to get my balance better ( but I’ve always been clumsy!)

Hi Flossie25,
good to hear from you! How are you doing?
yes, things seem to be picking up here and hand which was scraped is healing well. (Have my wedding ring back on this morning, since it was left hand I whipped the ring off straight away in case of swelling)

Doing ok moomy. I had one of those ‘be seen in 2weeks’ appointments at the beginning of the month but was NAD which was good. I need to lose some weight...still... but motivation will have to wait until after Christmas as I intend to indulge in mince pies etc etc. I’ve been out to a couple of supermarkets this morning and they weren’t too bad but the traffic was extremely heavy going.
I hope you and hubs are both doing ok and have a lovely , peaceful Christmas.

That’s great that you’re NAD! Lovely news just before Christmas!

i will need to join you on losing some weight after the Christmas foods have gone!
