But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Appointment done, blood pressure was wild, so, bless her, the nurse sent me home with an email address to send a photo to of my machine at home, got it down and duly sent and accepted as ok. I suspect my blood pressure is highly volatile and I need to get it sorted by GP at some stage soon.
The kids are deciding who cares when, bless them, it’s come at a time that daughter is on tour but can zoom back in her day off, son is turning his teaching round. I feel so bad that they are having to do this, but know they want to and love them so much for it.

It seems like, once the pressure is off, blood pressure comes back down to normal, when my stress levels rise, so does blood pressure! Crazy….

Managed a few things, after doing a washing load and dealing with the grocery order, firstly a walk into town and back to get myself organised and back into the NHS app, then I got out in the garden to replace batteries in the weather station, it’s awkward and a challenge, but it’s now successfully up and running again.
Had a call from the GP practice social referrer, she’s going to link me up with an Age Concern system, also suggested the monthly meetings at a local centre for cancer patients, they are a social group but sometimes have speakers, oddly it’s run by an OT!
Sat down to watch a favourite programme (Pie in the Sky, have the dvd set anyway) and am feeling sleepy so might nap….

Thanks to you both, getting plans organised now plus for the time afterwards when I can’t drive….
Thankfully I’ve got a lovely neighbour couple who I’ve helped out, she’s a nurse and will happily be an emergency call if the kids get worried, they will share the care over the first 2-3 days.
