But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Tonight I want to hear those fairies shouting "Stand By Your Beds!!!". Ssssscchhhhh.......though fairies !
Lots and lots and LOTS of hard work later, care agency has now done 2 visits, bed is here and furniture rearranged so we can get round both sides! Couldn’t have done it without lovely district nurse who suggested the change round and did a bit of moving herself plus apologised to hubs and also helped sort out a slight issue with catheter, hubs needs to drink lots!
Couldn’t have managed the rest without daughter who arrived and has helped an awful lot!
I’m not too sure about carers 4 times a day….but I guess we will settle into a routine

Great everything sorted moomy I have been following when signal good enough in Cumbria but home for few days now . So playing catch up ! How long are carers allowed to stay on each visit or do they no longer have tight schedules .
Use your natural efficiency to plan what they need to you to maximise hubbys comfort and your need to stop being too much of a carer .
Enjoy having time to socialise with hubs xx
Daughter introduced me to Deliveroo! We had Byron Burgers, hubs had chicken and felt a bit sicky in that there was so much, but coped ok in the end
