But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

They seem too busy so will get PALS on Monday.
hubs has done 20 metres walk (about as far as he normally can due to the spinal stenosis) with the weekend physio (emergency/on call team) did his sats before and after, fine! He’s sat out too. He’s tired though as with all the obs and dealing with potassium levels he had a bit of a disturbed night. He’s doing really well though and really has got his positive hat on! His window looks straight at the hospitals new cancer centre!
I think somehow I need to get the renal consultants or his secretary’s contact email and give the names of the Christie folk and also the opposite way and request/demand that they contact each other, review his biopsy and DO SOMETHING!!!!
All we’ve done so far is sort the emergency that that caused, not dealt with the root problem.

Good that you are on the case moomy - they will hopefully react quickly and speak to Christie and Oxford Consultants and then come to some joined up decisions. Hubs will feel better after his walk and sitting in a chair will improve his well being. Please look after yourself too- sending good vibes and hugs xx Kwissy
I’m snuggled up on the sofa and have been listening to 5Live for F1 qually! (Same as hubs in hospital!), we’ve always watched/listened to F1, hubs used to volunteer and First Aid at Silverstone when he was younger, and my Dad always followed Stirling Moss! So when we realised we both enjoyed it, we’ve followed together! I’m now going to put on some trashy tv and chill a bit more as there’s no chasing I can do at weekends.

Glad your having a good meal and a sofa snuggle, I’m just about to do the same. Helped youngest son cut down 2 15ft conifers in the back garden today so feeling slightly exhausted, amazing difference it has made to the light coming in though.
Hoping both you and hubs has a restful night with healing sleep xx
