But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Been out to our local shop, (short on milk owing to a poor decision by supermarket delivery) When I went in it seemed quiet but by the time I’d gone round one aisle it seemed like loads of locals were doing just the same! Ah well.......
back home to rest and relax, and read! Thank goodness for lots of books and DVD’s, think we will need them!

So museums are shutting. The rules were not clear on that one! We met today to decide how to properly shut down but it’s all going to be very straightforward. Some of the engineers will be in next Monday anyway, so anything not sorted by Wednesday evening can be done then. We will now very seldom go, but will if needed. On talking, most seem to agree that it will most likely be next year when things are properly open again.
Stay Safe, all

Got The Crown DVD’s (the last series) delivered this evening, watched the first disc which ended with Aberfan. So, so , so sad. Both hubs and I (separately, we hadn’t even met) almost went to try to help at ghe time but decided we’d be more hindrance and so didnt. I think it got me into a grey, reflective, sad mood which I can’t shake off, so am going to bed for a wee weep.

Feeling much better in spirits today, think the sunshine must help mentally, there’s nothing quite so bad for a late autumnal feeling as constant rain and greyness!
watching ‘Round the World in 80 Days’ has helped too, we have broken out the books and DVD’s of Michael Palins travelogues to help us through the dark days/nights!
Stay safe.....
