But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I've sorted out a wee 'thank you' note to print out and drop through to all who have helped us such a lot, both in allowing us parking and not worrying about access while trucks have blocked the close. Will print out and hand post!
The tarmac layer is being tamped down as I'm typing! We have a smart new step and will be able to use it by tonight or tomorrow.

Our preparation groundwork crew have now gone, (they work 7 days a week, and are off to Bridgend) leaving a brand new step base and the frontage looking good. One day next week the 'resin guys' are due to come to do the next complex procedure.
And I'm shattered, two very early mornings and long days are taking their toll.

Today at the museum we sorted out the remaining demonstrators with their face shields, one still hasn’t returned in person but her counterpart has her shield ready for her together with her up-to-date operating instructions.
and the museum opens tomorrow, we hope all will be safe, we’ve certainly all done our best!
Saturday being our day, we hope any teething problems are ironed out by then!
The remaining pallet for the drive arrived in our absence, but the digger is still here..... hope this means they start soon!

Goodness!that is a lot of organising you have to do,on both accounts,moomy....I wouldn’t want to be an Organiser but don’t mind being organised!!....had my hair done the other day,and my hairdresser had her mask below her nose!aghhhh...what was the point? However she did have a visor on.I think basic education of mask-wearing is in order!Xx
Hi Violetsniff,
Yes indeed- my daughter travelled by bus yesterday for a medical appointment and was amazed to see how many people walked the full length of the bus before half heartedly putting on a face covering! As she said bit late to cover up then when they had coughed over everyone- this happened on both her journeys. She has to attend again later in the week but is going by taxi!! xx
