But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I managed my 2 mile walk today (it was cooler) after my morning ‘clear out’ of crud. I wonder if sleeping on an extra pillow has helped? It seems to take a couple of hours of ‘clearing’ in the mornings. Fortunately I think the sinuses are improving, but the cough is annoying, just hope that will clear too. Oddly, it began with a slight sense of balance problems, that was noticeable on my walk. Perhaps it was a ‘farewell’ gesture as well as a beginning?
Just hope I continue to gradually improve.

It’s definite, I’m improving, phew! It took less time to clear the grot this morning, and the cough wasn’t too annoying.
Done my morning walk after getting some washing on the go, picked some wild fruit (bullaces) on my way home. And another lot of washing is on the go.
I’ve checked on line, blackcurrants (I was given a load which are in the freezer) and bullaces are all rich in pectin so no need for jam sugar if I jam quite a few. They will make good presents for Christmas!

Short of breath walking upstairs this evening, so I’ve started on doxycycline which I have prescribed ‘in case’ by GP, will begin prednisolone tablets tomorrow after breakfast. I’ve just battled this long enough I think and it’s getting worse, not better today.

Morning moomy , hope you feel a bit better this morning…. If not, maybe time to give GP a ring/ e consult or whatever method your practice uses? Seems like your lurgy isn’t shifting. God that you’ve got your ‘in case’ medication but probably time for a bit of advice? Love and hugs, HFxx
You’ve struggled and fought enough moomy do check as HappyFeet1 says with gp and hope you’ll recover quickly.
thinking of you dear Moomy….

Feeling a touch better today after the morning ‘clear the tubes!’ But to get my leg wound seen I ended up walking a mile to the surgery to get a nurse appointment! I ended up eventually being seen by a paramedic after I’d eked out the time by doing a bit of shopping and had a coffee in town. I gather staff retention is very poor, the surgery now covers 30k patients in 3 bases but the systems of getting through are overwhelmed. I was given an email address contact to state the problems, have duly done so.
Anyway, the antibiotics will also help the leg wound which has been cleaned and re-dressed, got another couple of dressings spare. The red ring around the wound had been gradually growing…. Hopefully now will begin to improve.

Still got the annoying tickly cough in the afternoons, with a bit of a headache. Probably need to steam but I’m finding it too hot to do so! Annoyingly, the American sister in laws sister in law, who gave me this rotten bug by coughing in my face without even considering covering her face, is posting on my faceache post of a Gold anniversary rose in full bloom. I’m tempted to ignore!
The Halls ‘sweets’ are helpful….as are plenty of sips of water. I’m finding a small can of tonic is helping a bit with night foot/lower leg cramps too so as I’ve a medication check phone call with my GP tomorrow I might well mention that, as the brand I’ve used has a small dose of quinine?

Hope you continue to improve moomy Coughs can last a few weeks.
I don’t think I’ve seen a Gp for a few years. My Surgery has an online system too where you have to send them information and someone gets back to you, a nurse. I get a bit fed up of only seeing/talking to a nurse but luckily I have background knowledge and know what I need/want beforehand.
