But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

The house was so hot last night in spite of open windows, closed windows, curtains across and open, fans going. But Henry somehow seemed better than he’d been the day before. Daughter arrived home around 3am, she had been dropped off at the service area (we aren’t too far from there) and one of the crew walked her home (very thoughtful). Henry was of course delighted to see her, we opened windows even more and the house cooled off fairly well overnight.
Henry and I managed to walk almost a mile pretty early this morning as it’s so much cooler with a pleasant breeze. It’s just 9am and I’ve picked a bowl full of loganberries, ready to freeze for this winters porridge.
Daughter of course, still isn’t up yet. She posted a few photos of their exploration of Hampton Court Palace (they played two gigs there) which look amazing.

The saga of home management continues; washing machine was ? leaking and giving out an error code. It was REALLY old so I got onto the web to get a replacement, all sorted (though of course they tried to sell me an ongoing monthly fee-warranty which I refused).
machine delivered and fitted this morning, sadly it seems the outlet pipe is semi-blocked so I have to get a plumber to sort that before I can use it! Cuss!
and I go in the cruise holiday tomorrow…..!!!

Have missed you as just seen your trip started yesterday? Hope you have an amazing time.
hope plumber can sort swiftly when home.
I have 2 finger tips that are numbish I guess that maybe Anastrozole? Cramps in toes, onset of cramp sometimes in Calves. I do have swollen feet late afternoon & even yesterday at 25° and I think it’s heat as they are normal by morning. It’s most nights from being away too.

Hi @jayhay (no tagging for some reason?) yes I too have swollen ankles due to the heat. I guess it’s ’one of those things’? and yes I’m presently in Cologne, having travelled on the Eurostar to Brussels. Hotel is near the lovely cathedral. Just back in my room after dinner, tomorrow it’s a train to Frankfurt then change trains to Passau when we join the Danube ship for our cruise.
I feel organised (gently and subtly, by the tour manager) and it’s great fun to be catered for and not to have to clean up! But it’s hot in Central Europe too.
Thank goodness hotel rooms tend to have good air conditioning!
Cramps? Neuropathy? Yes, I’m convinced it’s the AI drugs. Mine is helped too by the Abemaciclib which acts in a similar way on leg cramps and neuropathy.

Via Frankfurt and Passau, we are now on board our cruise ship, MS Amadeus Imperial.
A fabulous dinner, after a busy unpacking and of course, safety briefing.
Oh my I will need a holiday to get over this one!
Daughter had the results of her PET scan and will need an excision biopsy to see what the raised nodes really reveal . It’s worrying.

Quite a journey to get to your cruise moomy but enjoy it. Good you’re being looked after. Hope it’s not too hot where you are. Look forward to pics and review of cruise.
Start of heatwave here until Tuesday.
Naturally a worrying time for you in regard to your daughter. Hope she won’t have long to wait for biopsy and then results.
