Just thinking ladies, as we are all going through much the same journey that we should have a thread on here for crafts. I am sure there are lots of you knitting, crocheting, sewing etc to keep the dreaded side effects at bay and help us cope day to day.
I personally knit and have posted on here some of my knitting. Would be nice to see/hear what other people do. We could share pictures, hints and tips as well
So I will start with a couple of things I have done in the last few days.
This is my slouch hat that I finished on Friday night. Will be wearing it for the first time today!!
This was on the needles saturday night ......
And finished saturday night. A little headband/earwarmer for my granddaughter.
I am now off to have my PICC line inserted ready for 2nd round of chemo tomorrow (!!!!!!):)
Hope to see lots of pics when I come back!!
Have a good day everyone xx
Hi Violetsniff... love the Teddy’s. I’ve not yet made it along to Knit and Natter...still trying to find a large bunch of knitting needles I’ve got which belonged to my mam and I do so want to use them rather than buy more. I’ve put them somewhere safe ...but where ??
xx

Thankyou ,....I have about a gazillion needles...wish I could get some to you....I seem to gather them where evr I go,or people give them to me....
If you do go to Knit and Natter, there will be ladies there who will willingly lend you theirs, and a pattern to start off with,I am sure....
It isn’t easy to join new groups on your own.I was fortunate that my very kind friend asked me to go with her...What a Gem!!
If I was on my own and it was in a public place,I think I would walk passed nonchalantly jsut to see if I felt they were people I could get along with....a bit like a blind date!!
but no...that is unkind and you never really know people until you get talking and laughing together.
So Take The Plunge...but I do understand if you can’t xx
Well,I have been doing something unusual...I have been decoupaging.I collect pretty pics and eventually they come out and go onto an article. In this case it is a nail set...for a Christmas present....Oh,and these are the boots....which I customised...
The boots look great Violetsniff - you must be pleased with the result. Plus I love the decoupage - it's interesting and different.
Hi Violetsniff I’ve gone along to tai chi and learning to play uke by myself... don’t really have a prob joining in as that’s the only way to see if it’s ok and what you’re looking for. I do know that it isn’t always easy joining new groups...my problem is keeping going as I find something else I want to try... like learn a language. I’ve also found a sewing club ...so, what do I want to try first !!! ... and when Xx

Tahnkyou for your kind commentsEddiboy,....and Kacang....yes,thanks I was everso pleased with the result...what a difference!!
I have done decoupage for years and love it...and am always happily surprised by the effects....started when I went to Birmingham Art Gallety and boght an article which had been decoupaged by a local artist, from the shop, and went home and tried it myself!!
sorry didnt mean to assume you were shy to join in,...I suppose I tend to think wpeveryone is like me!!Not So!!and wow you have such energy!!xx
Violetsniff ...I was a shy girl when younger.... nursing knocked that on the head.. mind you I am happy with my own company, can keep occupied. I’ve never thought anything of going on holiday myself or going to conferences etc.... self sufficient, independent streak
That’s probably why I managed so well when OH was away for some weeks recently. I do like a good natter though
Sounds as though you can turn your hand at anything arts and crafts wise.
hugs xx
