Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
To tag, use the @ then type in user name and it should come up with a little list, click on the correct user name and it ‘should’ work and if the user has notifications then they might get told? (I don’t as I’ve been around too long!)
Im a fellow MacBook user but do most on my iPhone. It’s a 12mini and I love it! To text, you can actually slide your finger across the keys too, rather than typing letters separately, I’ve just done that! Yes sometimes it gets it wrong and doesn’t put spaces in but generally it works ok!

Hi Northerner thanks for the help! Here goes...
Well that was nowhere near as complicated as on the Macbook! Here's another of the lovely Thames. It makes me feel cold ju
Here's the lock - I feel cold just thinking about being out there this morning!
Lovely photos ! Love a river walk, if I can’t be near the sea then a river is the next best thing. Often walk along a nearby towpath, will have a look in my ‘archives’! Did an exercise class this morning then met friend for a cuppa this afternoon. No photos so these are from previous days….first was sunshine through trees on Wednesday morning, second is a towpath one from before Christmas xx
Lovely photos glad you got sorted posting them I’m in very cold NE . Thankfully wind dropped today so it’s a heady 5degs
One from last night showing a very clear sky with moon and Venus
before a absolutely freezing night
What a sky Northerner. Chilly down south too but apparently getting milder (and sadly wetter) tomorrow xx
Thank you . You are right about the Eucalyptus. We would never have thought of it....thinking Australia...but with your suggestion we looked it up and found it was brought here by an English man in the 1800's ( here being the Algarve where we are on holiday for January.) and now dominates much native growth. It is impressive but apparently is responsible for fuelling many raging forest fires because of the oils.
Today is very sunny but slightly cooler at 14°. We plan the local market for our walk. We didn't get far yesterday as following a recommendation from locals, we drove up to the hills and ate in a traditional Portuguese restaurant. Cosy with delicious home made food and local wine, ham and cheese, we just relaxed!
Photo is the road up. Village literally middle of nowhere!
