Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Lovely photos ladies! How great to see all these deer Northerner, round here it’s the occasional muntjac. And your sunset photo is beautiful Violetsniff. Glad your tooth is fixed for now moomy and well done for clocking up more steps! Good to see you Flossie25, love the umbrellas!
I am exhausted after being out for most of the day. Walked this morning with friend then coffee in town (outside). Short dog walk at lunchtime, then walked on my own to next town and back, met friend there for takeaway tea in the park. Lovely walks but possibly a bit much! 9.9 miles in all!! Writing this while soaking in the bath! Anyway lots of lovely views by the river and canal. Here are a few….. Love to all, HFxx
Lovely pics HappyFeet1 beginning to wonder if you have a pet heron
Yes I think you have a pet heron too,HappyFeet1!
glad our pictures cheer you up,pensionerp…here is a litle picture I got the other day while walking into town x
What a sweet posy of flowers Violetsniff, against the white door. Always like your arty photos!
Haha re pet heron! It’s actually the first time I’ve seen one along this stretch of river, I’m usually with a friend when on that particular path so probably too busy gassing. Think it’s a young one? Looks less like an old man in a raincoat than the one I see on a different route. It was there on the way and still there on the way back, so maybe it had been told to stay there by mum and dad. Or just waiting a long time for a fish!! Xx
They do stay still a long time,HappyFeet1.
In fact I have a little theory…………Is it a plastic one which you pick up and put down on different parts of your route..?hmmmmmmmxxx
