Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Thanks he is a Weimaraner. He is a lovely cuddle giver, but not very good at receiving them. Looks like your gorgeous cat is a comfort blanket too xx
Eddieboy, Weimaraner look like velvet, they are gorgeous! Xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Good afternoon
Greetings from a dry and not snowy Meriden. Though it did lash down ALL night
Yesterday I did a wee small ramble on my own. Saw these beauties.
Today we went to Hatton locks. 21 locks along a stretch of 5 miles. I haven't been able to access the pics just yet. But will post pics as soon as I am able
So back to reality tomorrow. Got to get lots of galloping in before I hit the chemo train on 19th April. And fit in the 6 appointments.
Hope the snow has melted and the chocolate hasn't - well on the lips.

Leolady56....I once looked after a little elderly lady in Meridan. It was in a little old Cottage with poppies you could get your face in.When the GP came once he said it was like Alice in Wonderland.(or,more likely,I was!...not sure). It is a lovely place and meant to be the centre of England. There is an old pub there which has lots of history.
enjoy your walks down the lanes.
the sun is out here and beconing me out. Will go gyming and a little light shopping, and continue with taking my old clothes etc to Charity in my onward purge. Its like the men who tried to escape Colditz taking out a little sand onto the beach each day to try to hide making of the tunnels.
the gardens are all looking pretty I notice them as I walk .

After my thankfully normal mammogram, we had a walk in Etherow Country Park. The sun was out and all the daffodils bobbing in the wind. All our favourite birds, swans, ducks, geese, Muscovies, coots, mandarins, but no Egyptian goose. Miss him, he usually follows us squawking for food. Cormorants and gulls too Much better weather than yesterday!
Hugs to all, especially those having ops, procedures, chemo, scans, rads and results. xxxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

Hi
As promised yesterday's pics of Hatton Locks
lovely pub at Berkswell, we had a cracking Sunday lunch there. As a Brummie by birth this was a place we went to at the weekends, as was Stratford and Warwick castle. Funny to go down memory lane
Looking forward to a good gallop with Jacmatholmad when she has stopped getting sloshed in France.
