Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hello ronstar,
Lovely to hear from you. Here's hoping you are keeping well. Wishing you a belated 'Merry Christmas'. Well done one getting out and about for an hour - Keep Safe xxx
Well, seeing how happy many 'present exchanges' have been, yours looks lovely Northerner and other peoples, they seem so happy doing this, the more I think I've been naughty .... my SIL suggested that we didn't 'do' presents this year (they would buy for their own and likewise) although we would still buy for mum. I wasn't to 'up' on this, but, given the circumstances thought maybe its a good idea. So we 'sort' of did this.... I still gave money to my Great Nephews and Great Nieces - it's been great, no stress of 'what' to get and then wrapping (I would be doing this for 33 relatives in total - wrapping gets tiring), then I normally send flower arrangements for my Aunts and Uncle and a few elderly friends..... I didn't send any to these people either .... my reason I was worried in case person that delivers could be a danger to them - yet the more I think the more I wonder if I should still of done this (ours wouldn't of been like this thought - SIL would of had other ideas to keep us away) .... so now 'no thinking' it's gone and I didn't do it. Here I am waffling on hahaha
I do sometimes wonder if these posts make sense, as I go off and do something or answer the phone and then come back - with how site plays up I don't bother to read back as I don't know if post will post in the first place.
Flossie25, I would imagine this made for a nice walk with the video call to - hope all enjoyed the views.
HappyFeet1, loving the photos.... the birdie does look like a Christmas Angel in the tree, how beautiful
Violetsniff, I've got a David Austin rose, it was a present from my sister for a previous birthday, the scent from it is amazing. We were so please with it, I ended up buying a couple for a friends birthday... needless to say, they were over the moon with them. Wishing you well and Christmas was good for you xxxx
, loving the Christmas card. I hope you and your friend had a good walk and the weather held for you. We have got rain and wind here, think it might just be part of hurricane or storm Bella - its wet though hahaha
moomy, well done on your jogging and stompping!! I will confess I have don't virtually nothing all day, just trying to coax my cats to eat - they don't want to eat these last few weeks - they are eating, I just have to keep trying different foods owww
Well, that's me, I'm off to feed the four-legged furry friends and then to bed... hubster is watching "On the Buses"
Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day to all xxxxx
Got out and walked yesterday. It’s light outside so should have a look and see what has blown around in the wind last night...couldn’t see anything when up for a cuppa earlier. As I’ve not done anything yet I can only state intentions of walking, doing hit, hooping and getting the wii cranked up today. Need to do something to counteract the steady expansion due to consuming far too many treats.
xx

Morning all, no photos from yesterday as I just did the quick morning dog walk, never a long one as she wants to get back for her breakfast! But nice to chat briefly to a couple of other dog walkers. Didn’t go out again so I’m champing at the bit today to walk with my friend. The sun is shining here after a wild night which blew our shed door open - doesn’t take much!
Beautiful sight at the bottom of the garden - a big pheasant perching on the fence! Daughter got photos so I’ll post one later.
And yes WhatHappened your posts make sense to me and are often very entertaining, you speak from the heart!
Love to all, HFxx
I braved a walk! Crossed the road lots of times and only once got thanked (people can be so rude!)
This shows a row of young trees newly planted, hope the vandals leave them alone!
hugs xxx
Moomy
Dear WhatHappened....always love reading your posts.Yes my David Austin rose was a “Charles Macintosh”I chose it for it’s “ancient scent.I loved it for years. And,I exchanged presents in our carpark and was strangely comforted to see just how many others did too.

I’m enjoying having a bit of a lazy time, because I don’t very often so making the most of not having to go anywhere or host anything here. So the house hasn’t been cleaned, haven’t had to plan, arrange, organise, shop etc. Even managed to watch a film yesterday afternoon, aiming to do the same again today and I did some of my jigsaw. Looking at this Christmas as an enforced rest!
Did have a nice walk yesterday, it was so sunny and quite warm once I got going!
It's good to chill
Hiit done, walk done so time for cuppa.
