Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Actually you are probably right,moomy!!
Now I can see the fish Northerner, now you have explained...but as I looked closely at the fish....dun-dun.....durnnnnnnnnn...I saw a crocodile (fangs forward)and frightened myself half to death!!xx
ooo,I can see a man in a warm head warmer now.....
oh...and a platypus....️xx
Great photo Violetsniff, so many possibilities of things to see (or imagine) in that tree!!! I couldn’t see the crocodile though!
Long walk today, took dog as well so she’s worn out. Nearly 9 miles! My friend and I took our picnics and set on nearby benches in a park. Didn’t linger as it was chilly. Saw another swan family as well as egret and heron but no photos of them today. A fungi fairy feast found in the woods! Love to all, HFxx
At the risk of boring everybody,I will just show you where the animals/man were which I saw.Circled in green from top to bottom:crocadile, man in warmer, platypus, squirrel.
probabaly as clear as mud,but just didn’t want you left hangin.....
I can sort of see them all now! Very clever Violetsniff!
Different walk today, a bit shorter but repeated our loop twice to avoid ‘school’s out’ time. Carpet of maple leaves provided a last splash of autumn colours. Then a tree whose branches had mistletoe mittens! Lastly the sunset. Love to all, HFxx
The sunset was amazing tonight but only for a very short time!
I did my ‘stomp’ to music in the kitchen, my watch tells me when I’ve done the equivalent of a mile which is quite enough j think, it’s partly a jog on the spot, partly gentle stamping steps to ensure my long bones get weight bearing stimulus!
Hugs xxx
Moomy

I woke up to snow yesterday but it had pretty much all gone by lunchtime when I went for my walk.
