Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Lovely pics everyone especially yours Yanyan what great colours.
Done a bit of gardening today cleared out the greenhouse, it’s always a bit sad after the excitement in Spring setting it up... nice to be outside though.
Look at this fella! I’m not going to eat it as I’m not sure about these ones!
Wise decision Amalie but interesting photo. Amazing shape fungus
I've never been to Scotland let alone as far north as Aberdeen but it's obviously very beautiful. All that sandy beach too.......no wonder you can enjoy a run or a walk Yanyan
Hello Yanyan, What a beautiful picture which I recognise. I am originally from Edinburgh but have lived in Aberdeen for over 30years as I met my husband here. This is the first post I have seen from this area and I was hoping to meet people from here or near by to have a meet up I have ovarian cancer but have to go for a breast scan in a couple of weeks, normal letter which people get from NHS. I am dreading it as I don't think I could bear having two cancers but this is probably just my anxiety as I haven't had a scan before. Would you and anyone else reading this like a group meeting in Scotland. I would like to have gone to the others I have seen organised but they are a bit too far to travel to. I have been to Maggies which is lovely and plan on going to clan at some point. Look forward to hearing from you, No pressure, only if you like the idea, no offence taken if you don't!!
love

Lacomtekp you should try coming upto Scotland. There’s so many beautiful places to visit. I live on the castle trail and the whisky trail! I live in a small village where we’ve only got a few basic shops and there is no gas! We all have oil tanks for heating!

Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Ruby rose my daughter is at uni in Dundee and my hubby is from Brechin and my step daughter lives in Montrose. My brother moved up to Auchterarder with his Scottish (Fife) wife three years ago so I’m always zipping backwards and forwards between all of these places! X
