Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Fab photos Northerner, love the peacock cake! Only had a short stroll on my own today, passed some ponies but too far away to pat, sadly. Your pony looked gorgeous Violetsniff!
You'll have to take carrot with you next time HappyFeet1
Fountains Abbey is a beautiful place we only saw a small area today . Next month the cloisters will be floodlit each weekend gorgeous . At xmas Carol services in the floodlit ruins with a few ghostly monks around for the children .
I was pleased that I'm up to 7700 steps mid cycle

2 miles walked this morning.....and I was public spirited to ‘stick and flick’ someone’s dog poo into the hedge!
Moomy
Absolutely, Seaspirit, plus I saved later walkers from treading in it inadvertently! Very public spirited, I thought!

Wow,moomy....that was above and beyond....
I LOVE the horse in the field at the Abbey.I have been there too, with a friend who walked for England(metaphorically )and was so exhausted...we then went to the Village where the Vicar kept all the people in that village so that the plague wouldn’t spread...what brave people, and saw the old stocks.(sorry, can’t spell the name)
well,am taking a break from watching the Politics...some of it seems so unedifying, some of it depressing, some of it brave, some of it plain nasty...to show you my rag rug.It is the first I have made and am starting a new one with prettier colours.Am doing it at Knit n Natter....I thought I might sell at Macmillan Coffee Morning...I already have made loads of cards...and asked some people to contribute any hand-made things...so far I have some cards and 2 pots of home made jam....
