Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Went for ear suction appt this am. Wasn't fit to drive, acyclovir making me a bit woozy, so DH took me. All well, so went for a cuppa in local arts centre. There was an photographic exhibition theremost interesting. Went sonewhere else for lunch, but we had to leave because the toilets were up 2 flights of stairs , which I cannot manage. A staff member seemed astonished at my request for an a
essible toilet!! Won't go there again. I was sufficiently recovered however to go to Tai Chi in the evening and drove myself

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Glad you’ve improved after the ear thing, Seaspirit, astonished at their attitude re accessible loo, what would they have done if you were in sa wheelchair? Crazy! But glad you managed Tai Chi.

Goodness me seaspirit44 re accessible loo. I have been to a few places recently where toilets seemed tk be upstairs but when I asked they all very kindly showed me to a hidden away disabled loo. They didn't make it more obvious as they wanted to keep it nice for those who really needed it.
So glad you are feeling well enough for Tai Chi
An exhausted Moomy reports 5.8 miles walked today, we took the bus to Hastings and walked along to the old town and explored! I found Foyle’s House as used in Foyle's War, much to my delight, and we went up the East lift to magnificent views. Then back down and followed our noses to a cafe where hubs had fish nuggets and chips, I had crab cakes and chips. Then a leisurely trek along all the narrow old town streets, and then into the newer town to catch the bus back.
A helping of sorbet from the freezer, a sea paddle and a looooooog sit down! Will try to post a photo or two..
