Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Lovely swim this morning. The outdoor pool is open again! Tried out my new headband to keep the earplugs in( can't let water in my ears) and it works a treat. Did not overdo it like last week ! Xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
.Glad you are enjoying the water,....people who dont enjoy outdoor persuits miss out on so much!(am only realising as I get older)
and thankyou,HappyFeet1
moomy...that made me smile(whistling”Singing in the rain”)
it is true that it does seem to be typical June weather!!...I remember going on holiday to Edinburgh and thinking,”Oh,June...the weather should be ok”only to find it was the year of the floods!I had gone up on a Coach and that was very fortunate,as all the main rail routes out of Scotland by train were flooded!there had been pandemonium as people raced from one main Station to another to travel and out of Scotland!!and that there was a fire on the Train from Glasgow too...(all it needed was Plague....
I remember being SO thankful I had my little Coach ticket!!
well I had put my winter shoes/boots away, but am steadily getting them out again!....
Xx
We drove through the rain and are now in sunny Bexhill! Already walked a couple of miles as I forgot to pack eggs! Quelle doleur, petit dejeuner sans oeufs! So a walk to M&S for supplies.....
