Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
I just popped in to say,Thankyou for the friendship of all you lovely ladies on here...Xxxthats all.it means so much to me...xxxx
now pass the chocolate cake,@....oh....you can’t......
Violetsniff i second that. And it so nice that while we share our cancer journey we don't talk about it all the time.
Not going home today. Still draining too much lovely fluid. So circuits round the nurses station. One an hour is my target. The physios will come and bully me into more later i am sure.
Happy walking everyone xx
Oh sorry you can’t go home yet,,...but obv best you stay put at mo.
you are doing sooooooooooooo well with your activity...proud of you xxx

Posting to say 'thirded' to your post above about thanking people for this thread. I can't comment on the photos, but to read the daily e-mail notifications of the encouragement and positive attitude as well as the support everyone gives everyone else is just lovely and I so much admire all here.
My lump seems to have become slightly knobblier! but remains smaller than it was which is just as well since I am, as I thought, managing on one-and-a-half coronary arteries!
Actually, it was quite funny. I had a letter from hospital offering me a follow-up appointment in the Gastroenterology Dept! I was seeing the GP on Friday so showed him the letter. He was very surprised! I checked with the hospital and apparently the Consultant in that dept and also the Cardiology dept have similar initials and the appointment boooking dept had made a mistake. Just as well I enquired straight away!
Ooo!lovely,moomy!!
and, lovely to read your post ...you are very encouraging...and so happy you are envouraged xx
Just wanted to Thank !!!You have made me realise the things I never knew were on my Ipad!!
Not being at all techy...I probably have 1000 things at my disposal which I never knew about!,
I accidentally happened upon a little box which said,”Music”a few minutes ago,Quite By Accident...and was regaled with “Candy Man “and Pixie Lott!!Immeditely started jigging around!!!
how DOES my Ipad know I love these two....and also, more importantly, isn’t dancing fab exercise ??xx
Lovely photo moomy, we also found mud in the woods whereas the exposed fields were still frosty, love these days with blue skies and sunshine. Have managed a few great countryside walks this past week but kept forgetting photos. Have cows from the other day
that's it! sorry you're a hospital hostage but you're an inspiration to us all, lapping the nurses' station! Hope you're out soon but good they're making sure you're fine first. NNxx
Your laps round the nurses station rock (as it were - please notice the reference to dancing and toons!!).
Everyone using this thread is fabulous in my opinion- I love the balance between cancer and other news.
This evening I jumped out of the car on the way home from visiting a friend and walked the rest of the way. I was rewarded with the most beautiful photos ever. Here you go.
This is a truly great thread!
Here is pic from sunny Sussex this morning, went out with the dog with my hat and gloves and soon enough was far too warm!
