Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Did you sit in the front and pretend you were driving?
I remember the first time I took my Grandson on the DLR and he said he was the driver and if he went VERY fast he would jump off the tracks and go to the stars!he was only three. The age when everything is possible... I think he would be very embarrassed about it now as he is 14 and considers himself a cool Londoner.

- Of course!!!! Haha I genuinely do try to get those seats - I am a big kid at heart! I only ever surrender the front seat to an actual child!

Hahaha, daughter took me to Greenwich for my first time on the DLR and INSISTED we got front seats, fab!
Great driftwood pics and yes, you look very pretty!
walked into town for my GP appointment and back, think my hip pain may well be ‘trochanteric’ and he suggested a steroid injection. Now as I like walking I think this will need careful planning as it’s 48 hours of as much rest as possible. Interesting that it’s much worse on the right, I’m left footed! And he will refer me to see an allergy specialist which was suggested by one of his colleagues when I had hives so badly.
Busy day sorting the Bombe and doing demos too, unusual for an engineering day. We are hoping that the challenge will go ahead and work.

Hi moony
youhave probably done this but just incase — I had to stop carrying a handbag of any description! When I carry a bag I get hip pain ! Not too bad if I have in a rucksack . If I go a walk I like to take a few things in my pockets only and no pain .
Thanks for your lovely comments
when my younger son worked in London , we went on the DLR - found it scary lol ! Country folk in London is scary full stop! He once lived in Greenwich and it was very nice , loved Clapham and Brixton- loved the hustle and bustle and I found Londoners friendly - IF I smiled .
I got offered seats on the buses and on the tube . My son said the people were in shock at this smiling chatting Scottish person !
Smile and the world smiles with you .
Hope all goes well for you and you get the cause of the pain
sorted .
Love
