Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Dishwashers! Ha, hillarious. ours actually broke when my kids were about 10 and 12. They actually found it novel to wash up, happy days, I hate it!
normal life is resuming with me, less time for walking but back to playing tennis, yoga ( which is actually a new venture and something I won't stop, has helped this achy body soooooo much in 5 weeks it's amazing).
even went up London Town last night and met Hubbie. Only sign of the poop was the fact I fell asleep on train on way in and way back within seconds.
Was going to post a picture of amazing ceiling but still not working....amazing concert and we walked all way back to Paddington so over 14000 steps too!
hope you all manage a lovely weekend
Hi all
I've been a bit fed up lately as someone in a balaclava decided to take a brick and smash up my car the other night. Now I'm waiting for the glass to be in stock to replace the windscreen. Not putting it through as a claim so no courtesy car - hmph! I'm going to try to upload some photos of the things that have been helping me smile.
Violetsniff - I am not on an i-pad, on an android phone but I think it's just the temporary file size restriction. I tend to use the "pro" button on the camera as it takes better shots - but then the files are bigger!
Saw this beady- eyed fellow perched on the flimsiest branch!
I'll see if I can post some more

My favourite rhododendron - it is so showy and bold - I love it!
The rest won't post - too big even once I resized them.
I have been running too - keeping up my 3K in 25 minutes - no improvement yet!
Hoping everyone is having a good weekend!

No walking for me lovely ladies, but as no chemo any more for me I will be back to gallop very soon
Pics are being restricted in size due to issues on email notifications part . Techy people are doing techy things in their techy world!! Loveable little rogues that they are
Look forward to more galloping and getting the few added pounds that chemo decided to give me as a prting gift and a bald head of course. That was only after 25%
Take care

Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Oh ronstar thats rubbish about your car - the bleeping bleepers. So nice to see your heron, Very statesmanlike ...
And well done to everyone else who did some walking, exercise or thought about it!!
Here is my walk today in the wood with my pooch. Bluebells still around, but starting to fade xxx
Hi
Thanks - at least I have to walk everywhere now :)
Yes, it's a heron - I've never seen one sitting in a tree before - I was amazed.
Your wet walk sounds nice - woods in the rain always look so fresh!
Eddiboy - great photo - looks lovely - your dog isn't camera shy!

Great pics ... wish I could post some.
Still walking ... part of Viking Way last weekend and just around village/fields since... seaside beckons tomorrow.
That was dire about your car ronstar.
Lovely dog Eddiboy ... often see a dog of same breed having a great time in the field out back of us... always looks as though it’s got loads of energy.

“ The only constant thing in life is change “
Hi Flossie25 - Thanks, I love to see other peoples photos and different places. So wish you could post your too!
My dog is called Eddi - he's my namesake (my OH decided it should be spelt without an "e" at the end for some strange reason). He is a very kind and loving dog, and loves to go out for a walk.
I am able to upload photos on my laptop if I compress them to fewer than 500 KB. It took me a while to work out how to do it, but decided it might be a useful skill to learn.

Dear Ronstar
So sorry to hear about your car. That’s seriously bad news and such a horrible thing to happen when you are mid treatment. You may not want to go public but I’d be inclined to put a notice on your car saying “Whoever trashed my car should know that I have cancer! Thank you!”
What a lovely photo. I’m glad that you got a bit of your day
Very best wishes
