Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Whatever have we said now?
Surely someone hasn't been offended by our chit chat?
Don't they know we need all emotions ....laughter, anger, sadness, enjoyment, worry, the mundane .....to heal and Awake provides that for all with total inclusiveness . The review had better be completed soon .
After a poor night’s sleep, awake from 2am, decided to get up at 5.30 and go to the waterpark. It was lovely and quiet, slightly chilly, but due to warm up later in the day. Saw Mr and Mrs Swan with their 5 much bigger cygnets. Also a greater spotted woodpecker on the feeder with a chaffinch.
Pic is of the swans again, nothing else keeps still long enough .
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Yesterday's walk was a ride to start it. We went to Spain up the back roads and back on the motorway. Photo is the view from motorway. Quite stunning.....
Lacomtekp I have just finished “Holy Island “DCI Ryan book.It was ok…my friends are big fans…so will read another.I am enjoying Val McDermit at the moment.I love that she is so forensic,or understands forensics ….Sometimes hard to concentrate but it is relaxing to have a good book on the go..xxx
seaspirit44 have only seen a woodpecker once and it was lovely knocking a hole in my sister’s tree.Last year we saw a kingfisher…such a beautiful colour flitting over the river bank.xx
Violetsniff I have read every single one of Val McDermid’s books. I wait for her next one impatiently. I prefer her later ones, less gruesome but just as gripping. Xx
