Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hope you get home safely Northerner as snow everywhere it seems, certainly here in Berkshire!
Home now Jayhay Thank you
Sun still shining both sides of Pennines but extremely cold overnight unfortunately some others on site arrive to burst pipes and broken boilers .
We take lots of precautions to hopefully prevent it happening to us as we know after 12 year there how cold it can be . The village is only 6 mile from SHap which tends to be the coldest place
-8 deg is forecast for tonight over there so water off and winteriser down the pipes plus all taps and shower left open after water emptied from system . ( we have a automatic drain down system )
Snow due both sides of Pennines tomorrow so washing in . Next is shopping to stock up
Just been to the gym at the local school, cheap pay as you go. Then it started pouring down. Just trying to prove to myself I can. Really I'm not obsessed by exercise, 30 mins between treadmill and bike. Just relieved I can still do it. Some days I hardly feel like getting out of bed. I even went to Bavaria whilst doing it.
Great photos ladies and well done for your gym session Sabrina22 , especially with the added bonus of going to Bavaria!!
Will be doing a gym session after my ‘Cancexercise’ class tomorrow (for anyone with a cancer diagnosis), so am prepared for aching muscles over the weekend! Always hard going back after a break - missed the last 2 weeks.
Am on train heading home from Scotland after a week with family and friends. Some lovely walks, Braid Hills in Edinburgh and coastal walks in Dunbar. Love to all, HFxx
Great to break away from routine. That's what we miss and fear in equal measure sometime. Maybe sometime when I'm in a better position psychologically. I get quite stressed before a holiday. I'd like to take the house with me really. Leaving my young man with all his health problems, is a big part of it. Xxx
Lovely vistas HappyFeet1
