Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Lovely views Lacomtekp . I’m intrigued by your frogs Pollyperk , did you raise them from tadpoles or even spawn? We used to get loads in our back garden (near a river) but hardly ever see any now (and they may have been toads actually).
Nordic walk yesterday - perfect weather, sunny with cartoon clouds and a light breeze. Happy Sunday to all xxx
Hi the frogs are miniature fresh water frogs we have them in our tank with the fishies they are amazing so funny to watch, and each one has a character, they can have lots of babies , but would probaly be eaten and the frogs can last many years .. Polly xx
Well I'm absolutely knackered from 3 nights of practically no sleep but my partner and I are National Trust members and we went to Clumber Park in Notts today. About a 45 min drive from home but my proud moment is I did the round the lake walk. About 5 miles. Had to stop a few times and park on a bench and have a painkiller towards the end but the most exercise I've done in a while. Joints are aching. Sorry no pics as phone was in backpack.
mainly in the garden today
