    Hi Peanut 11

I want to wish you lots of luck for the 17th. I’ll keep everything crossed for you.

I am a similar age to you 54 on the 6th Dec and diagnosed on the 28th Dec with Grade 2 BC and like you ER and HER2 positive. I’ve just heard that my lumpectomy will be on the 22nd Jan, then 5-6 months of Chemo, Radiotherpay, Herceptin and the drug beginning with A for 10 years. All the usual stuff.

I’m most worried about losing my hair and how I’ll manage to juggle self employed work, children (although one’s at university), pets and all the domestic stuff. i’ve been going through a very nasty divorce for over a year as my husband decided to take me to court, so I’m trying to deal with that along with the diagnosis and practicalities.

Like you the aggressive part is really worrying; no one medically has used that term to me, but I’ve read about it.

I’ve yet to meet my Oncologist and find out what I’m going to have in the way of Chemo other than it will be given over three weekly cycles. i’m planning to try yeh cold cap. I’m also planning to go to hair loss consultants Lucinda Ellery - I have experience of thinning hair for years and started going to them a year ago and it gave me back my confidence.

Hope to hear how you’re getting on and wishing you a positive journey.

    Hi Peanut11

I was triple positive Grabe 2b2 46mm lump, I had neoadjuvant TCHP followed by surgery, re-excision, 20 Radiotherapy and year of Herceptin which will be finished this month, 5 years of Tamoxifen

With triple positive it might be aggressive but they have more option to treat it with

I wish you a safe BC journey

    Hi Peanut11

I got button up pyjamas from Asda George online make sure you go for soft and stretchy as you don't want anything cutting in or restricting, I had a lumpectomy at about 12 oclock so near the top, I wore a soft sports bra that done up at the front day and night for support and comfort, If I got too hot for Pj's I wore a vest with stringy straps then if arm aches you can get out of it by let it drop downwards

    I hope this helps

    @peanut11

I love this post. I too am Her2+++ and was terrified when I kept reading "aggressive" everywhere. But, I also read "gamechanger" and so im going to stick with that word.

    Hugs xxx

    Hi

Just been going through pages as I didn’t have anc results until 8 Jan.

I had lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy in nov 2017. Cancer lump removed and 3 nodes removed 1 of which was cancerous. I had anc just before Christmas and had results on Monday. 3/10 were cancerous so total of 4/13. I had an appt with oncologist on Thursday! So quickly and yes like yourself I’m HER2 positive and estrogen positive and was told I was complicated. It’s been a whirlwind since with appts this next week for bone scan, flu jab, ct scan and heart scan. The oncologist was lovely realistic and caring and even though I know Ive a  long battle ahead I felt a lot happier after our appt. my motto is onwards and upwards. I hope all goes well xx

  • Hi I am triple positive grade 2, how did your treatment go xx

  • Hi I am triple positive can I ask how your treatment went pls best wishes xx

  • Hi happy bird I am triple positive can I ask about yr treatment pls xxx

  • Hi Shaz52, just to let you know that this thread is over 4 years old and it doesn't look like Happy Bird has been active on the site for several years now so you may not get a response, plus treatments change too. It might be better to start your own new thread asking for feedback from others who are triple positive as that way you may get responses from those who have received treatment recently x
