So in  5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.
Hi Jan
No injections for me! Oncologist said he doesn't usually perscribe them first cycle but might need to if any issues with white blood cell count. Funny how everything so different from hospital to hospital.
Yes my wig is nice, looks like my hair does when just been highlighted and straightened so in some ways its the hair I want but struggle to achieve. Like you not sure how will go on if have to wear it.... will have to get some scarves etc too if hair starts to drop but I hate anything on my head, not a hat wearer at all so we will see.....lots to think about as always! Hope you get on ok on Monday xx
Kerching!!!!!
Next letter arrives .....................
Next onco on 13th March
By then you will all be sailing along and I will 'Still be waiting'
Second post was a card from a pal in Bonnie Scottish Land - tee hee know how they hate that.
The front of the card was covered in versions of the F bomb words. Made me howl with laughter.
Have a good weekend
Take care and BE GENTLE with yourselves - well done you now all know the ending
Leolady xxxxx
Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Kerching heere too this morning!
But not for me, my daughter, bless her. She's having her canines removed as they're stuck in roof of mouth so general for her on 26th :-(
ill be splitting myself across 2 hospitals about 20miles apart. But she's on afternoon list so doesnt have to go till 11.....plenty of time for rads first !!
ALERT ALERT ALERT
Serious side effect of BC
Mr Leo ironing
Yes ironing.
I was attempting to move dust around the house and he voluntarily started the ironing.
I mean who knew? I had a secret suspicion it was a possibility
But ...... the very worst part he is doing it better than me. So I have bigged him up and hope this could be the start of a new man. He has made attempts before but never completed the whole basket full. Nearly there and shhhhhh don't tell him.
Leolady hiding in the bedroom 'putting stuff away'.!!!!! SHHHHHHHH ladies

Leolady that's so funny. My hubby ironed once at the time and I was irritated he did a good job !! However with me hubby and three older children in house aged 15 to 23 his ironing mojo didn't last long !! Xx
Hi Jacks77,
I was interested to read your post about the oncotype test. I’m node clear ER+ 8/8 HER- (was grade 2 Lobular) so must also meet the criteria for testing? When I asked my oncologist about this test she said i didn’t need chemo and so didn’t need this test.Â
I’m not sure now whether I should have pushed for the test.Â
Have a lovely weekend everyone.Â
Dx
Hi everyone.
Hope you are all doing something nice today and feeling ok.
Do you feel any better today? Since your post last night I spent most of the day trying to think of the name of that monkey that was Orvilles friend. It has come to me at last I think...Cuddles was it??. Somewhere in my mums loft is a vinyl single of Orville singing "I wish I could fly"...remember getting it for xmas and being very happy #80schildhood.
Hope you gave Mr Leo lots of praise and attention . A man. Ironing. I am so going to mention this to my DH on the hour, every hour. Although I can report that Mr Jammy has become a bit obsessed by cleaning the toilet...he keeps coming down and announci h he has bleached the loo. Think its his way of doing his bit to keep me germ free. Makes me smile though as he leaves rest of bathroom to me! We really could do to get our assorted DHs on a conference call so they can share their new skills and encourage each other.
On another Lindsay you most possibly wont be behind us treatment-wise... if you just have RT which is likely you will still romp ahead of me! My current schedule is last CT end of blinkin May then RT end June - mid July
Well not a bad day so far in Jammy land. Only side effects at the moment are teenage spots and tiredness, just had a lovely nap but will be nodding off on sofa by 9 I reckon. Had a lovely catch up with one of my best friends as her daughter has decided to restart dance lessons with Lib so we had a 2 hour coffee n chat whilst girls danced. Dance exams coming up in summer so better start DH on the blood pressure tablets for when the fees invoice lands. Libby isn't naturally talented really but loves dance and works hard so generally gets decent-ish marks. Its a good lesson in being able to achieve things if you set your mind to it....she does get annoyed about the girl who messes around and puts in no effort but is so talented gets better marks. I keep telling her that one day the girls talent won't be enough.
Every Saturday after dance Libby begs us for a Greggs lunch as we drive past one. Every Saturday I say no we are going home for delicious home made soup or similar. We don't need to pay Greggs to make a sandwich for us". But today because mummynis having CT and had woken at 6am thinking about a chicken mayo sub roll and cheese pasty the whole family dined at Greggs! Libbys response " how many weeks do you have the horrible medicine mummy?" "17 more weeks sweetie" ."ooh yay Greggs every Saturday then!!"
Well have had a saturday siesta time to get some exercise and squeeze a walk in before starts to get dark.
Take care everyone xx
