So in  5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.
Just saying good morning and hope everyone had a good Saturday and is feeling well today. How was the party Leoolady?
Jolly love the bingo I bet most of us won't be far short of a full house by the end of this!
I had lovely evening at friends house with school mum gang. Nice to relax. Late night though and then couldn't sleep despite being tired. Think anxiety about oncology appt on Thurs starting to build lots on my mind but hey its Sunday so determined to have a lovely day with my lillte family.
Take care everyone.
xx
Quietness must mean its the weekend and everyone is out enjoying themselves and trying not to think of BC.
Chilled and vaguely busy weekend here, all helps take mind off things. Glad you had a lovely time last jammy, much deserved and no doubt needed.
I'm just making cherry sauce to go with tonights tea and have finally finished the topper for ys b'day cake for this time next week. Means I've only his cake to do during the week, before rads start, so should hopefully be nice and straight forward now the hard bits done.
Only thing I'm wondering is if i will actually get any notification about anything re last weeks ct scan, or if i want to have an inkling of what or not it said I'll have to chase that up. Because surely they can't scan me, let the dr or consult/oncologist know, but not say anything to me?
Evening all,
So shattered tonight and tried to catch up on all your messages sorry if missed anything!
Jammy hope you've had a lovely day, will be thinking of you this week with the appointment looming....just keep busy, just keep busy ( in the vain of Bee Movie!!)
Jolly  liking the sound of dinner at yours tonight please, although I'm completely stuffed after pub lunch with friends today. When I had my CT scan to check for any other horribles my breast nurse phoned me really quickly to say clear, but I was also about to go for 2nd op so they were rushing it all through to make sure nothing else lurking. I'd phone your BCN if you don't hear as that's just torture!
Leo I'm afraid my monika is very boring and is a reflection of my family? Wasn't feeling inspired at th time but love other people's names now, never mind!
So alien seroma has decided to get herself pregnant this weekend and possibly with twins, not very happy about it! Rather than just being uncomfortable it's now causing pain too, mentally and physically. Spoke to BCN Friday and she's got me in with surgeon first thing in the morning. I am not sure what they'll do as rads is looming too. I've read all ththe positives and negatives to draining and been all over the forums trying to find what's worked best for people but it's all very varied. I have all my questions ready though so as long as all answered to satisfaction will go with ththe flow tomorrow.....kind of want th relief so erring on getting it drained!
Hope you've all had relaxing or adventurous weekends of fun
Best wishes
Jac x
Good evening all, hope you’ve all had a good weekend avoiding cancer and all it’s baggage.
I actually went out out today, with coat & wig & everything!! Check me!!
Jolly, I had my CT and BCN rang me with result. I was waiting until I went to clinic for result as couldn’t face the results while I felt so rough from the last chemo. I said all this to nurse because I thought she was just doing a post-chemo curserty call but she told me anyway!! Unfortunately, my CT has shown some spinal abnormality which is either spread or osteoporosis: everywhere else is clear though. I’m going for full spine MRI on Wednesday. If you’re worried or not due in clinic, ring your BCN for the result.
JammyR, So pleased you managed to go out-in!! Glad you enjoyed it. It is goid to get out and be “normal” for a bit. The waiting’s the worst thing in all this. Thursday will come round then you’ll know what you’re doing when again. Try and enjoy the next few days if you can.
Sweet dreams xxx
Niece was only slightly impressed as I galloped through the tea party venue. But we had a lovely afternoon. My mother – can you hear my teeth grinding – was ok. Then at nearly 91 suppose she is on damage limitation. The Burns Night Supper saw me tucked up in bed by 10 pm with no pud and everyone partied on. How many hot flushes could I cope with? Plus someone gently saying ‘Oh can’t stand the pace' as I left?
Rictous grin in place and I grimaced ‘Ask my hubby sweetie’.
Thursday is ages away. Jammy
Chicken fillets from??? Tesco or M&S or Waitrose. Possible Lidl, Asda or Morrisons. My youngest and her other half keep threatening to buy me some
I have said before I think when we are quiet that’s so so good. We are finding the norm.
Sorry always feel so blooming inadequate with all the cake making. Worst of all is if only I put my mind to it I could. Tonight’s supper was a beef bourginone – spelling alert. Hubby nearly got it on the head. He stupidly said I like the sauce thicker than this. BREATHING. I add flour. He nearly got said flour and casserole dish surgically implanted. And breathe again
Have I missed saying hello Troongirl. Sorry and lots of positive thoughts and gentle hugs for tomorrow . So are you where your name suggest? Coz we have a bestist pal in Ayr.
Well glad someone is getting something Jac, even if it is your seroma. I think we are just a few miles away from one another. So see private message alert or feel free to ignore. Have this weird feeling we know one another from my time in education.
Jeeps so ...... decided to write my replies in Word then copy and paste. MMMMMMMMM like that is working.
So tomorrow is one more step along the world I go for me. What next on this merry go round?????
Take care and lots of positive thought to those who have struggled this weekend. And wooooo hoooo to those who got it right for a few hours this weekend and found some kind of norm
Take care
Leolady - small gallop to the postbox today

Hi ladies.
Jolly I guess you can ask your BCN what the procedure is for your CT result...might chivvy them along a bit. There is always something to think about that's for sure. I havent had any scans as surgeon said not necessary unless I want one for reassuarance...still not sure if I do ir not! Imagine at some point I will end up with one through chemo or rads anyway so will wait and see.
Jac - that's annoying about seroma. Mine appears to have almost gone so hope doesn't get any ideas reading this. I think if it enables RT to go ahead might be worth getting it drained if they advise to.
Bigguy - glad you have been well enough to get out. Hope the MRI outcome is the best it can be. I think if they look closely they will find something with everyone and I guess more likely to be something other than spread. Will be thinking of you. I've had decent day thanks just bit edgy which I think just tiredness from late night. No chance of having time to mope tomorrow as now need to dash to pet shop to replace leaking goldfish tank then sewing with Libbys class then Brownies, hopefully keep me distracted!
Leolady - wishing you lots of love for tomorrow, hope you are seen on time by the right person with the right notes!
Hope everyone else I have mentioned is ok.
xx
Leo, chicken fillets.......... most definitely M&S! Foodhall for eating, lingerie dept for stuffing in bras. Don't get them mixed up, otherwise you'd be smelling funny after an hr or so and the neighbourhood dogs would be following you for a sniff and a lick. Silicone in the oven may survive, but they'd be a bit rubbery to eat!
Total giggle alert for the reply
Blew a big fat raspberry for being seen on time and have had an array of notes. I want photo id on them
LL
sat with window wide open and still having flushes. Moving to Iceland - country not shop serioucsy worried their chicken fillets might give me frostbite
