So in  5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.
Gooooooood morning
IT IS OFFICIAL...........
I AM NORMAL
I have it in writing from my esteemed, lovely, gorgeous, super and other adjectives are available, oncologist
My bone density scan said so!!!!!!! Well I am in the normal range. OK at this point in life I'll take any crumb they throw at me.
Also echo cardiogram shows Herceptin has not affected my ticker at all. I am happily in a high range of heart function (for my age).
Another small scrap from the NHS
Bot did we have a giggle last night. Sarah Millican - a little ffffing at times - was a great antidote. Laughter therapy wooooo hooo to that. If she appears at a theatre near you go see her
Now off for MRI today ...... tinnitus issues
Fingers tightly crossed for 3 good results
Happy weekend everyone.
Massive hugs
Leolady56 - very chirpy and happy
Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Leolady so pleased on your NORMALITY Seriously though we'll done and good luck today xxx
Afternoon ladies,
Sorry I have been awol for few days.. busy busy busy time in Jammyland.
Anyway FINISHED RT TODAY so wanted to let you all know. I have a really sore patch under boob so been given dressings to use for few weeks. Hope it heals quickly as want to be able swim when we go to coast mid August. Haven't noticed too many side effects from tamoxifen yet just few flushes.
Thank you ladies so much for all your support in getting me through to this point where active treatment finished. Once my mother-in-law goes home on Monday I shall be able to get back on here more to support.
Lindsay - glad your scan result was ok and good luck with MRI.
Lots of love xxx
So thinking no big celebrations at the moment after all the crappity crap of the past few weeks. Plus a cruel thing to allow RT to give you sore parches.
So ............
"Imagine a candle" Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Lighting your way forward.
I am still smiling at the fact that for checking out tinnitus I get shoved inside an MRI which is amazingly noisy, get headphones and attempt to listen to Radio 2. Oh the whole incongruity of it... Giggle giggle

Leo glad it's been confirmed you are normal, or as normal as we can be.
Jammy whoohoo on reaching end of rt, boo to the sore patch though hope that heals quickly.
Last day of hols for me, stopped off at pils last night to break journey up, leaving shortly for the 4 or so hr drive home.
Hope everyone else is ok.
Well ladies I only went and did it!!!!!! Off to London to Hyde Park for BST with the gorgeous Michael Bublé as the main man. WIG FREE for the first time publicly and for a whole day and evening. I actually am so bloody proud of myself, I know for some it’s not a big deal but it was a massive hurdle for me and I DID IT!!
Trying to post a pic but no luck.
Congrats on the end of RT Joanne, you DID IT TOO!!
Love to you all xx
Correct no celebrations really...everything feels bit flat at the moment. Hard not to worry about recurrence etc especially with Libby still being so young but gradually getting a bit of mojo back and booking nice things to do in school holidays.
Wow bet you felt so pround of yourself. Another hurdle jumped and it must have felt lovely to be wigless in the heat. My hair really grown this week and even the front bit starting to look better now. Libby likes me to wear wig around her friends but if we get away to coast mid August it might just be ok by then to nip to beach etc commando.
Hope you had good holiday and everything ok with you.
Well just had a nice siesta better get up and do something.
Much love xx
