So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?

  • Here is the cake.... I said to hubby I bet if I wasnt lazy could've made it myself. He said the nail varnishes would probs look like tampons if I tried, he's right! She went to school so happy, def a day to forget BC (which isnt easy with armpit ache!)

I didn’t get my chemo because white cells still too low so have to try again on Tuesday :-(

    Hya Deb 09,

You’ve come so far in 24 hours, well done!!

Unfortuantely, I couldn’t have my chemo today as white blood cell count still too low :-(

I’m going back on Tuesday to try again so, white cells permitting, we’ll be having treatment together xx

Leo, hope you're safely out the other side.

Bigguy, shame you didn't get your chemo today, so you can tick another off the list, will you get it tomorrow instead?

Bou, glad the surgery went well, hopefully the lack of movement will improve quickly over next day or two.

Jammy, more a msg for Libs, no doubt you're in middle of celebrations with a bunch of giggly excited 7/8 year olds. The cake looks lovely.......

  • Oh my goodness Boudicca, I’m am literally crying with laughter, seriously needed to run to the loo for a wee!!

Sorry but that is the funniest thing I’ve read in ages. I never read anything on here to my OH but just had to and he was laughing too. Just read it again and it’s just as funny second time around.

I’m not laughing about the rest of the post as I’m sure you are having a rough time after surgery and hope you start to feel better soon. Xx

  • Happy Birthday to Libby. Sorry have no idea how you lot get pictures on here????

Really sorry to hear your treatment has been postponed Bigguy, fingers crossed for Tuesday. I really hope when I start mine on Thursday that I don’t get a similar problem going forward as time is tight for me and I would still love to surprise my sis in law in May.

Hope you’re out the other side Lindsay, been thinking about you lots today.

    Xxxxxxx

  • Thanks for Libby's messages. She had a brilliant day and the pamper party was a big success. She said she wants to repeat this day forever. Been so busy haven't thought much about BC today but just sitting now thinking bu***r...focused on first op, then xmas, then 2nd op, then the birthday now pretty much just got BC ahead of me. Trying to be positive but with results looming we have never had a good results appt.....dont feel  overly anxious just sort of resigned to it all. Lots of nice stuff happening this weekend though so will have a mini-focus on that!

Bigguy sorry chemo delayed must be so frustrating but all you can do is enjoy couple of ectra s/e free days and imagine things will improve on Tues.

Leolady hope you are tucked up in bed being waited on bu Mr Leo who should be used to the routine now!

Well 3 hours in the company of 8 excitable girls has worn me out....armpit quite sore so aiming for a 9 hour sleep please send sleep vibes and if anyone finds the sleep fairy send her my way !

    xx

A belated happy birthday to Libby, same age as my daughter...

Bigguy, sorry you didn't get the 2nd chemo... did they say what's causing the low.count?

Leolady hope your feeling well now

  • Hi lovely ladies

    I got there

I galloped along the corridor to the theatre in honour of you all. The nursing sister was trying to decide if physic was needed for an assessment

Big guy main man came. I said I'm only going to theatre if .......... very Arnie style. Yeah didn't want to know I am good at growing the C. Told you all before I'm a total failure with plants. Yep and he took a bit extra. Well thanks MR Main Man. But he was really good and found his empathy button and looked almost human. He was a little omg when I mentioned Monday's debacle in the clinic. He even past the time of day with me. Chatted. And said 'I WILL SEE YOU IN 10-14 DAYS' .  I nodded sagely and he said no 'IT WILL BE ME'

    WELL. Any bets

Jammy - I think 7 attempts @ cannula gives me a bingo prize. GLITTTER. And really a tampon cake send him to Specsavers. Sleep is your prize for being an amazing mom and a great BC friend. I said so. And did you see my post about peeing for a preggy test. Surely that's 2 pots of glitter

Jacks - I took 90 mins to upload for Libby. Honestly I am a total IT virgin.

Jolly - you get top trumps for the Froggy pic

Bigguy - well that is a total poo, bum, Fbomb but your gonna do it

Boudicca, Aliblue, Bennie and the Jets, Mrsox, Mirabo etc etc may you sleep the sleep of the innocent.

Oh and early I know but a little tune:

    'Cauliflowers fluffy and cabbages green

Strawberries are sweeter than any I've seen'

See you in the morning when the sunbeams shine

Take care - a slightly full of drugs

Leolady - I got knocked down but I got up again and galloped xxxx
